Recent News (Tournament of Roses Parade, 2017)

If you have a free minute, you might enjoy viewing the following ABC News report of the 2017 Rotary International parade float, decorated with over a quarter of a million flowers for the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. Our current Arizona District 5500 and 5510 Rotary Youth Exchange students helped decorate various parts of the float with thousands of flowers and various types of foliage. We hope you enjoy viewing and learning about “Archie”, the friendly Rotary dragon and the 100-year-old Rotary Foundation!

Charity Navigator is the most respected organization that rates charities.   From Charity Navigator’s website, The Rotary Foundation is only one of three large international charities that earns a 100 score (the highest).

These Top 10 Charities work throughout the country and the world. They are large, complex organizations with budgets exceeding $100 million, and at least $65 million in net assets. They became household names in part because of their exceptional financial management, no easy feat considering the scope and size of their operations. Charitable givers should feel confident that these national institutions put their donations to good use (“Charity Navigator:  Your Guide to Intelligent Giving”, 2016.)
